If you’re looking to find the perfect centerpiece kitchen island decor, stop searching! I’ve put together a list of my top four favorite ideas. Just pick one, or feel free to mix and match.
A fruit bowl
A fruit bowl is also a beautiful way to serve your guests. You can place it in the middle of the table, or on top of a kitchen island if you have one.
A flower vase
Flowers can be arranged in a vase to add color and life to your kitchen. You don’t need to limit yourself to a traditional flower vase; use whatever you have on hand!
If you’re using a glass or ceramic vessel with a wide-mouthed opening, fill it with water and add some flower food so that the stems will stand up straight (see instructions on package).
A decorative candle holder
To add a bit of warmth to your kitchen, you can use a decorative candle holder. The best part about this is that it’s an item that can be used for other purposes as well.
For example, if you’re having a dinner party or just want to have friends over for drinks and snacks, you can use the candle holder to create ambience in the center of your island. If you have any leftover candles from previous events, this is a great way to repurpose them!
If you’re looking for something more permanent and don’t want to worry about keeping up with seasonal changes in décor (or replacing candles), then consider investing in a metal or wooden basket that has handles on either side. This will allow it to function as both storage space and decoration at once!
A hanging plant
Hanging plants are an easy way to add a touch of green to any space. And they don’t have to be difficult to maintain—just make sure they get enough sunlight and water on a regular basis, and you’re good! Plus, hanging plants can help improve air quality.
You won’t need much for this centerpiece: just one small vase or jar (we like these glass jars) with some twine wrapped around it.
For the greenery, we recommend using something simple like a fiddle leaf fig tree or some pothos—both are easy-to-care-for options that don’t require much watering once a week or so depending on how much sunlight you provide them with each day. You could also use mosses instead if you want something more attractive without requiring any maintenance at all!
After placing your chosen greenery inside its container, tie it down with the twine so that it hangs evenly across the top opening of your jar/vase/container before arranging everything else around it!
Centerpieces add a finishing touch that can make your kitchen feel harmonious and finished. They are often functional, but they can also be decorative. They can help to create a theme for the room, or just provide some color and texture to balance out the rest of the space.
We’ve talked about a lot of options in this post, so let’s take a moment to recap. The centerpiece you choose depends on the kind of kitchen island you have and the style of decorating you prefer.
A clean, minimalistic look with stainless steel appliances might suit a decorative fruit bowl or candle holder, while if your kitchen has warm wood accents then it might be better suited to live plants or flowers. Regardless of what kind of decoration you choose, remember that it will make all the difference when it comes time to host parties at your house!
